There is no doubt organizations are moving towards increased mobile, flexible and remote work due to increased real-estate costs, draining commute times, engagement and retention of talent, and increased globalization of business. Leading from a distance is becoming a key skillset for today’s managers, as the future of work is now.

In the wake of remote working reversals by Yahoo and IBM, Dr. Laura Hambley will explain that effectively managing remote teams is scientifically related to certain leadership skills, attributes, and capabilities. Leveraging 15 years of Industrial/Organizational psychology research, participants take a mini distributed leadership assessment and engage in a collaborative discussion. TIME:7:30 AM to 9:30 AM
MEMBERSHIP AREA: Toronto
VENUE: The National Club (Live) or Webcast to Your Home/Office

We are looking at a future where companies are hiring a mix of gig and permanent workers, part-timers, telecommuters, freelancers, and more. How can such a diverse workforce be managed? How do you get the best results in such a structure? And as we move forward as a society, what role should business play in shaping the larger economy?

WHAT DO CULTURE DYNAMICS HAVE TO DO WITH BUSINESS METRICS?
February 12, 2019
Toronto
DATE:February 12, 2019
TIME:7:30 AM to 9:30 AM
MEMBERSHIP AREA: Toronto
VENUE: The Albany Club or webcast to your home/office
DESCRIPTION:

We've all heard that "culture eats strategy for breakfast". But why? Leaders today are aware that culture strongly influences how people think, feel, and act in their efforts to support their organization's success. The problem is that they use methods that just describe their unique culture type without linking those descriptions to tangible performance metrics such as revenue growth.
