The Senior HR Leader Forum is designed to provide community and thought leadership for professionals leading HR in smaller organizations or are reporting to a CHRO in a bigger corporation.
In a collaborative environment, members of the group share information on the strategies and approaches they are taking in their respective roles to deliver value for the businesses.
They also share resources and experiences and provide peer support in a trusting, confidential, and respectful manner.
Why turn to SHRL Peer Forums for help?
In your organization, you are all things “people”. Your organization, its employees and your team turn to you for cultivating a robust, healthy, engaged, and productive workplace culture. You spend most of your days dealing with people and talent challenges, which in recent times can be unprecedented.
But do you have a community of like-minded peers who can be your sounding board, in confidence? Whom do you turn to for deeper conversations around reimagining work?
At SHRL Peer Forums, you will be among a group of senior HR leaders who are dedicated to creating healthy and thriving organizations, and whom you can rely on while on your own leadership journey. This is your place to share new insights, troubleshoot any organizational challenges you may be facing, and grow through the knowledge-sharing of experienced fellow members.
Who is in the SHRL Peer Forums?
The group is made up of HR leaders leading the function of medium sized organizations and senior HR leaders often leading part of the HR function in bigger, more complex organizations.
If you are an HR leader in transition, looking for your next big role, SCNetwork’s HR Leaders in Transition (HRLT) is the place for you!
What is the format?
Due to social distancing, currently, SHRL Peer Forum meetings are held virtually, once a month, for one hour. Meetings are facilitated by SCNetwork’s Programming Chair, Mark Edgar.
How much does participation in the Forum cost?
$750 annually, of which $225 covers the member’s individual SCNetwork membership fee, and the remaining amount gets allocated to cover the Forum’s ongoing meeting costs. Forums with unused money at end of year usually arrange a special dinner, and some have even partnered with a charity for a special event. Any funds remaining at year end will be transferred to the following year’s Forum account.
What is the connection between SHRL Peer Forums and SCNetwork? SCNetwork’s purpose is to provide thought leadership and community for members. For most members, these two objectives are experienced at our monthly breakfast events and periodic social events. In addition to meeting the minimum attendance requirements at Forum meetings, CHRO Forum members are expected to:
- Attend SCNetwork events occasionally, and encourage their HR staff to do the same
- Volunteer from time to time on SCNetwork events, committees or its Board of Directors
- Offer topic ideas and speaker suggestions for our monthly events, and even volunteer to present on a topic
- Be willing to be interviewed on matters for inclusion in SCNetwork’s newsletters and blogs, and
- Offer up ideas you may have to enhance our member value proposition or build SCNetwork’s brand, presence, and impact.
Are you interested in joining one of our Forums? We are actively recruiting members for the SHRL! If you’d like to participate in an existing Forum or be on a waiting list, contact:
