About This Session

Before the coming of COVID-19, changes in consumer behaviour and digital technology forces already required organizations to manage change and adapt more quickly than ever before. The pandemic has accelerated those needs. Companies across industries are feeling the pressure to adapt their business models to these new requirements.

The need for speed won’t be temporary as digitization, automation, analytics, and the other forces of change, such as work from home (WFH) will go on accelerating too. It’s been said that “The pace of change has never been this fast, yet it will never be this slow again.”

To support and sustain these changes we need new leadership skills and behaviors. The “next normal” in business and corporate culture requires less control of the organizational structure, and more decisive emphasis on rallying employees to provide constant and proactive feedback concerning how these changes impact the way they live, work and connect with the organization.

Business leaders can’t apply the same, pre-pandemic corporate principles and leadership techniques. We need a new definition of employee engagement and development that promotes and rewards innovation and organizational agility.

In this session, we’ll look at these new principles, skills and behaviors. We’ll share some lessons learned over the past eleven months and provide a reference framework to evaluate impact and risk, as we begin the transition to a post covid-19 workplace.
