Overcoming the Odds to Deliver Successful Digital HR Transformations
About This Session
Join the Strategic Capability Network for an insightful Zoom discussion on why only some digital transformation programs manage to achieve their intended results and what digital HR teams can do to overcome the odds and deliver transformation success.
We are in the midst of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in which increasingly pervasive and inexpensive digital technologies are causing unprecedented industrial, economic and social change. Shared services functions like HR, Finance and IT are particularly vulnerable as they are comprised of essential information and data operations. Digital transformations are an essential way for these organizations to respond, and yet only 30% of these programs succeed.
No matter what part of the HR function you are supporting – HR Operations, Centers of Excellence or HR Shared Services/Business Partners, you are directly impacted by digital transformations. Learn why digital transformations fail and what leading HR teams are doing to combat the odds. First, Kevin will guide you through an interactive exploration of why digital transformation is an essential capability of today’s HR function. He will then share his research on the most common reasons why so many digital transformations fail. You will then be guided through a brief online assessment to gain direct insights on how well your organization or that of your client’s, is prepared for digital transformation success – and where it is not. We will then review the aggregated/anonymized results of the assessment and wrap up with an interactive discussion about what leading organizations are doing to overcome their vulnerabilities to deliver transformation success.
Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to:
- Learn what digital transformations are and why they are an essential way of life for today’s HR practitioners
- Learn why digital transformations fail to achieve their expected results
- Understand where your (or your client’s) organization is most vulnerable
- Be exposed to some of the latest tools, methods and frameworks for building your digital transformation capability
